DishCapture, operated by Infinity Holdings Group Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use the DishCapture mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
DishCapture is designed to minimize friction and does not require login at launch. We only collect information necessary to provide core functionality.
a. Content You Provide
Images of recipes (photos or scans)
URLs, text, or notes you choose to input
Voice input (if used for recipe capture) — voice data is transmitted to a third-party speech-to-text service solely for conversion to text. It is not stored after processing is complete and is not used for any other purpose.
b. Usage Data (Limited)
Basic app usage (feature interactions, errors)
Device type and app performance data
c. Account Information (if applicable)
Email or login details (only when you choose to create or save content)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to deliver and improve the app experience:
Process and convert recipes into structured formats
Enable saving, editing, and organizing recipes
Improve accuracy of text extraction and app performance
Provide support if you contact us
Recipes and content you create may be used to improve the app experience. Your content will only be shared within the DishCapture platform if you have explicitly opted in to a sharing feature or competition. This permission will always be requested separately and is never assumed by your use of the app.
If you choose to participate in features such as recipe sharing or competitions, your submitted content may be visible to other users
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
3. AI & Content Processing
DishCapture uses automated processing to extract and structure recipe content from images, text, or links.
Your content is processed to generate usable recipes
Processing may involve third-party AI or OCR services
Data is only used for functionality and improvement of the app. Where third-party AI or OCR services are used to process your content, those providers operate under data processing agreements that restrict their use of your data solely to service delivery. They are not permitted to use your content for their own training or commercial purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

Standard industry safeguards
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Recipe data stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the app.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We may use analytics tools to collect basic usage data about how the app is used. This may include data collected via tools such as Firebase or similar analytics services. This data is used solely to improve app performance and user experience and is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
If you wish to limit analytics data collection, you may do so through your device settings. On iOS, you can limit ad tracking under Privacy settings. On Android, you can opt out of personalization in your Google account settings.
6. Data Sharing
We only share data when necessary:
With trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, processing tools)
To comply with legal obligations
We do not share your data for advertising resale purposes.
If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Recipe data stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the app.
We will respond to all data requests within 30 days of receipt.
7. International Users and GDPR
DishCapture is operated from Hong Kong and governed by Hong Kong law. However, if you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, we are committed to handling your data in accordance with applicable regulations including the GDPR and UK GDPR.
If you are an EU or UK user, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Restrict or object to certain processing
Export your data in a portable format
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Your Control
You have control over your data:
You can choose what content to upload
You can delete your saved recipes within the app
You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. You may also request access to, correction of, or export of your data by contacting info@dishcapture.com
We will respond to all data requests within 30 days of receipt.
9. Children’s Privacy
DishCapture is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that data. If you believe we may have collected data from a child, please contact us at info@dishcapture.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
11. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
